Thomas Correia

As children usually do, Tom had always imagined what he would be doing when he grew up. When he was about 12 years old, he had sat down at his family table and drew pictures of himself in various uniforms working in different jobs. There was Tom as a doctor, a firefighter, a police officer, a soldier, a carpenter, etc. Proudly, he had spread out all his drawings and looked at each one of them—then suddenly, it hit him! His passion to become an artist was born that very day.

Many years later, Tom would actually fulfill one of those drawings by enlisting in the US Army. That decision allowed him to later attend UMass Dartmouth and achieve bachelor degrees in both Illustration and Graphic Design. To this day, that “12 year-old Tom” is still very much alive and passionate about drawing and design.
